AD 160 - The Portable Planer Thicknesser The AD 160 has been designed to provide accuracy and surface finish but on a small scale. At only 17 Kg = 38 pounds the AD160 is ideal for transportation to the work-site and convenient storage when not in use. The 1.2 HP motor provides ample power for a nearly 3 mm = 1/8 inches depth of cut. Two reversible and disposable steel knives and 15,000 cuts per minute assure a smooth, level finish. The AD 160 requires no conversion - so planing and thicknessing can be accomplished simultaneously. With the tilting guide fence, the AD 160 also provides the unique capability to perform jointing operations which are often required to professionally complete the woodworking project. The top planer surface allows smooth finishing of wood up to 160 mm = 6 11/16 inches wide and the thicknesser accepts 120 mm = 4 5/8 inches stock. With a 655 mm = 25 3/4 inches long planing table ease of workpiece handling is substantially improved. All of the features of the AD 160 make this a truly unique and versatile portable planner.
