To change the blade you just turn away the blade cover housing and open the one piece door panel to gain access to the machine interior. A gas spring eases opening of the large door and holds it in place for as long as necessary. A limit switch immediately interrupts the power supply for maximum safety. Adjustment of the blade guide is by self locking rack and pinion. The Basato 5-2 has two operating speeds.
