RD30

PLANER THICKNESSER-
LARGE CAPACITY 12" X 6 1/2"

NOT AVAILABLE

FEATURES

Non Flex Fence
The surface planing fence is manufactured from a hardened steel pressing, that is roboticaly welded to its support areas. Two securing handles eliminate any risk of the fence moving during use, even when extreme pressure is applied.

Motor Torque
The distance of the motor and the cutter block drive mechanism has been significantly reduced in order to maximise the torque capacity when under load, therefor eliminating stalling when working on hardwoods of maximum dimensions.

Infeed and Outfeed Rollers
Both the infeed and outfeed rollers that pull the timber through the thicknesser are spring loaded, ensuring no markings are made to the finish of the timber.

Chip Ejection
Both the surface and chip ejection shoots are positioned to avoid clogging which can result in shaving being pushed back into the clutter block area, and creating a stepping finish of the timber.

Thicknessing Table
Unlike many competitors models which have one central column supporting the thicknessing table, the RD26 and RD30 are supported and height controlled by four threaded steel rods. The steel rods are positioned at each corner of the table and are driven by a hardened steel linked chain, which eliminates dipping when working on solid, heavy hardwoods.

Friction Reduction Table
Both the surface and the thicknessing table are coated with a Teflon based compound to avoid timber snagging and stalling, enabling hard and softwoods that contains moisture and sap to freely pass with a minimum of resistance.
