Wear will naturally occur between any two materials constantly
rubbing together. Record have devised a special solution to this
problem by designing a play eliminator in the main head. Simply by
tightening play on the headstock is eliminated therefore enabling the
user to achieve precision results year after year. |

The chisel is raised and lowered by a machined rack and pinion
mechanism. The ratio of the rack and pinion enables 3/4 ton pressure
to be exerted on to the timber by the chisel. |
