A solid
pressed-steel bandwheel has a thick layer of rubber, vulcanised to
the outside diameter of the wheel. The bandwheel is then precision

provides accurate blade tracking. The bandwheel is then dynamically
balanced to ensure vibration-free running at high speed |

With the large
capacity under the guides and powerful motors on the new 'E'-range
from Startrite Machines, rip sawing is easy. "I managed to cut
145mm deep softwood at a low feed rate. Ripping thinner 50mm stock
was like slicing through soft cheese!" Quote by Andy King,
Technical Editor, Good Woodworking. Oct '99, Issue 88. |

to be made with ease. |

The blade guidance
system features top and bottom carbide thrust rods with large self-lubricating
cast guide blocks to provide accurate cutting and maximum support,
especially when precise contour cutting is required. |
